The most direct way to connect owners to their vehicle is through the in-dash head unit, the control center for the vehicle’s electronic media system. Utilizing custom technology we are able to communicate branded messaging, pertinent vehicle information and additional geographic and entertainment-related information to this captive audience. This interface serves as a touch point for building customer loyalty, delivering rich, personalized content and driving additional products and services.
As with other deliverables, it is critical to develop each piece to serve the immediate needs of the customer while also maintaining safety; however, this is especially important for in-vehicle communications. Therefore, we design and program each interface to manage driver distraction. With the safety of your drivers being our number-one priority, we are committed to minimizing cognitive distraction by producing programs that allow drivers to keep their hands on the wheel, eyes on the road and mind focused on driving.
Tweddle has developed in-vehicle programs for several of our automotive partners that function independently or in connection with mobile applications. The information that may be integrated into an in-vehicle system includes visual owner’s manuals, maintenance schedules, demonstration videos, customer support, roadside assistance and mapping functions.
User Interface (HMI) Design
Unlike other devices through which content is consumed, the ability to leverage an in-vehicle display for interactive commerce infotainment and interactive communications requires thoughtful insight into driver and passenger behaviors to ensure that the digital experience is delivered safely. Tweddle’s Human Machine Interaction (HMI) Design group analyzes designs, evaluates and produces interactive solutions to support mobile and in-vehicle applications. Our team of engineers, graphic designers and human factors specialists focus on developing HMI strategies that reduce cognitive distraction while enhancing the overall vehicle ownership experience.
